The Alabama Seniors Golf Association (ASGA) is governed by a board of directors consisting of 9 individuals from the 4 regions of the state (2 from each region) serving a 3 year term with elections each year to fill 3 vacant seats. We have 3 golf events each year basically in close proximity the north, central and south Alabama. We typically meet for a cocktail reception or dinner on a Sunday evening and finish with an awards dinner on Tuesday evening. Monday you are on your own to eat locally. We play golf twice; usually on Monday and Tuesday. There are separate ladies and men's golf events consisting of team competitions adjusted by GHIN handicaps. There are 3 age groups for the men's competitions, from 50-64, 65-79 and over 80 years. In addition we have a very active ladies group. Typically the 50-64 age group plays from the course number 3 tees, the 65-79 from the number 4, and the ladies and men 80 and older from the forward tees.
